Los Sueños Costa Rica, Jesus Christ.

Getting here was one hell of an ordeal. Work Tuesday then drive from Gainesville to Miami, have some drinks in anxious childlike preparation for what was to come. An hour or so rum soaked eye closed session then head to the airport for a 2 and a half hour flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. Once we arrived we were greeted by the fantastic news that the newly built highway that turned our 3 hour danger zone ride through mountainous hell into a nice super car vein experience had been shut down so we were being committed to the mountains. We stopped at a few places along the way, saw some alligators under a bridge that you were apparently previously able to throw live chickens at, which was a much more perilous experience then we had thought out when we got to the middle of the bridge. (hopefully pictures of that coming later if someone is kind enough to pass them on).

Then we reached our destination… Los Sueños… (The Dreams for those not Hispanically initiated). I. Am. Speechless. So, I won’t try to put anything into words, this is where we’re staying for the week.

Anyone who Knows me knows that this place fulfills several dreams of mine. We’re just in the organizational stages of our first day here so there isn’t much to tell in the ways of events but tomorrow is our first of a couple of days of solid fishing so I’ll have plenty to tell after that. Costa Rica is very much not disappointing at this point, this place is beautiful. Just a closing thought, the view from the top floor of this place.
